American Lotus Celebration

Join us for the American Lotus Celebration on August 2, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Cowan Lake State Park, located on the southeast end of the lake off Yankee Road.  Free Naturalist-guided pontoon boat rides will be provided into the American lotus colonies. Seating is limited, so register early at the Friends table as you enter the vendor's area.  Registration opens at 10:45 AM.  New this year, if registration is full or you prefer, you can sign up for an onshore presentation instead.  There will be vendors, food trucks, children's activities, a birding station, and musical entertainment provided by Jeff Bowan.  Horsefeathers Farm will also provide presentations on fossils and Native American artifacts from Clinton County.
