Chamber Lunch & Learn: Preventing Workplace Violence

The Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber of Commerce and Kennedy Consulting & Training invite local business owners, managers, and HR professionals to attend an important Lunch & Learn session focused on workplace violence prevention and threat assessment. The event will take place on Friday, July 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Southern Ohio Educational Service Center, 3321 Airborne Road, in Wilmington.

Titled “Preventing Workplace Violence: Building an Effective Threat Assessment & Management Program,” the session will introduce participants to the Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (B-TAM) framework. B-TAM is an evidence-based, proactive approach used to identify, assess, and mitigate potential threats of targeted violence before harm occurs.

Never heard of B-TAM before?  If you have any kind of "0 tolerance" workplace violence policy, Union, are affiliated with OSHA, ASIS, ATAP or are a part of the Bureau of Worker's Compensation - this presentation will be useful for you. Come learn about a system that can help you spot concerning behaviors, weigh the risks and implement an effective intervention strategy. Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management teams are designed to assist your company in navigating and utilizing the industry standards while staying compliant with legal guidelines. 

Dr. William Kennedy, of Kennedy Consulting & Training, brings years of expertise in psychology, law enforcement, and threat management to the program. Dr. Kennedy works with both public and private sector clients to develop comprehensive strategies for maintaining safe workplaces and complying with legal and regulatory requirements.

The Lunch & Learn is open to the public. The cost is $15 for Chamber members and $25 for non-members, and lunch is included.
