Bite Size Market located at 34 N South Street in Downtown Wilmington will hold an official ribbon cutting with Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, July 23 at 5pm. The event is open to the public and will include samples from the market as well as a meet-and-greet with the local vendors.
Bite Size market is open daily from 7am to 7pm, including weekends, and offers fast healthy meals, fresh local groceries, and fun unique merchandise. Much like a farm stand, visitors browse at their own pace and checkout at a self-serve kiosk when they are ready (card only). The intention behind the market was to take the previously underutilized front lobby area of a downtown business and turn it into a place for residents and visitors to explore.
Local vendors include Elyse Fife with Purple Wagon (sourdough breads), Judy Taylor with Bake My Day (desserts), Donald and Jackie Bickle with Happy Cows Creamery (milk, butter, and cheese), Bob and Becky Portman with Walnut Ridge Acres (bacon, sausage, and brats), Elizabeth Stern with Misty Pines Acres (chicken and duck eggs), Rachel Jarman with Bank Barn Meats (lamb chops), Toni McGinnis (macarons), Rich Family Meats (hamburgers and steaks), That Guy's Family Farm (certified organic produce), and Brenneman Family Farms (Amish produce).
Bite Size Market will also be participating in the Downtown Wilmington Kids' Treasure Hunt on Wednesday, July 23 from 11am to 3pm. Parents and Children between ages 0 and 12 years old will be starting at the Wilmington Public Library to pick-up a treasure map and follow clues around local businesses finding hidden keys to unlock prizes from the long lost treasure of Wilmington's Pirate King.
